3 Internet Money-Making Models To Avoid – And What You Can Do Instead
Posted By: pluginbizprofitsblog on November 29, 2010 at 11:50 pmWhen you’re looking to get started with making money on the Internet, you may be overwhelmed at the vast number of options available. Some of course are excellent business opportunities. However, many are purely opportunistic and looking to taking advantage of would be marketers. You don’t want to be considered as one who lures newbies into these traps just to profit. It’s important to be able to recognize these types of opportunities. This article lifts the lid on three models which don’t work very well and looks at what you should be doing instead.
First of all, you should avoid creating sites for the sole purpose of profiting with online advertising. That model was all the rage a few years ago, but the advertising world is very competitive nowadays and it’s hard to get a high amount of income for an individual click. You have to be driving a huge amount of traffic to make a success of this model. And, if you are driving that amount of traffic, there are far better marketing models to use to take advantage of this high volume of traffic.
The second model you should avoid is marketing affiliate products. If you want to promote the big affiliate launches, you should be aware that this is highly competitive, and as a newcomer you have an uphill battle to making good money. Of course, if you’re willing to spend a lot of money on advertising and take a big risk that this may pay off but it is risky. As a beginner, I’d advise you to be very careful with this type of advertising unless you already have the contacts and skill to make promoting the big launches into a profitable proposition.
The third and final model which you should steer clear of is working as a freelancer for other people. The reason for this is simple. If someone is willing to pay you to do something, it should be obvious that they have a way to make money from what you’re doing – and usually this will be a substantial amount of money. You would be better spending this time building up your own business.
My recommendation instead is to focus on product creation. By creating a series of products you’re developing monetary funnels which can pull income to you. Instead of creating a product for someone else as a freelancer, create one for yourself. This gives you a product to market, and a way of making money directly from the traffic you pull. The faster you get at creating products, the more of them you can make. Avoid complicated Internet Marketing models, and concentrate instead of creating new and valuable products. This will help you be a successful online marketer as well as build a good reputation.
